Sandblasting of aluminum is a specialized method that we at HP LAK carry out with maximum precision and a strong emphasis on quality. With over 30 years of experience and a modern technological background, we are able to provide effective, safe, and gentle surface treatment for a wide range of aluminum components.
Aluminum sandblasting is a modern technological surface treatment process in which the surface of an aluminum part is gently abraded using abrasive particles (e.g., glass beads or baking soda). The goal is to thoroughly remove dirt, corrosion, old coatings, or oxidation, to unify the surface structure, and prepare it for further technological processes—especially for powder coating, anodizing, or other types of protective coatings.
Unlike harder metals, aluminum is softer and more sensitive, which is why lower working pressure and gentler abrasives must be used when sandblasting it. The most commonly used materials in aluminum sandblasting include glass beads (ballotini), baking soda, or walnut shells. These fine materials clean effectively without damaging the surface or creating deep grooves.
Sandblasting serves not only for renovation but also as an important pretreatment before painting. By removing all layers of impurities and roughening the material's surface, subsequent coatings adhere better and are significantly more resistant to mechanical wear and corrosion.
In professional facilities, aluminum sandblasting is performed in enclosed cabins under strictly controlled conditions. This ensures maximum safety, high-quality results, and consistent outcomes even for larger orders.
Our services are suitable for both individuals who need to renovate a specific part, and for companies with regular demands. We handle both small and large batches and process orders with short lead times.
