Treating the surface of parts is a key step in the painting process. It ensures the layer of powder coating is firmly connected to the metal base of the part. All products to be painted in our paint shop are first carefully prepared for painting. First, they are degreased and phosphated in 3 to 6 steps, which are adapted not only to fit the purpose of the product (interior, exterior, humid environment, maritime environment), but also to different materials, such as steel, aluminum or stainless steel.
For exterior products, a six-stage phosphating line with passivation is available, while for large sizes, a three-stage surface treatment with spraying equipment and passivation is used. After surface treatment, the products are thoroughly dried at a temperature of 100-120°C to ensure an optimal surface for applying the paint. In addition, our paint shop performs steel grit blasting and on selected metal parts ballotine blasting, which is an effective method for removing dirt and rust. When deciding on the price of komaxit and other services of our komaxit paint shop, it is important to consider both the quality of the process and the specific requirements and specifications of the client.
Surface treatment is a necessary step in painting, as it ensures the optimal adhesion and durability of the powder coating on the surface of the material by removing impurities, phosphating and other processes, which significantly increases the quality and durability of the final product.
